    Weight loss campaigns can sometimes make you feel hopeless and even harm your fitness. Perhaps, you are now looking for some great tips to help you lose weight and keep you fit. You no longer need to be worried as you’re now in good hands! I’m now going to share you the best weight loss tips that bring permanent result and keep you healthy!

    Before I start blubbering, I want to emphasize one important thing that I have learnt from my many failures trying to lose weight. There is simply NO such thing as losing 10 lbs of weight in a week while you are on a HEALTHY diet. Now, now, don’t let it disappoint you. I’m only saying it so that you won’t give up when you see oh-not-so-dramatic results in your first week following my tips below. But, what I can guarantee is that you will definitely lose weight gradually but consistently while maintaining your fitness. I’ve tried and succeeded. I have gone from 170 lbs to 112 lbs in nine months! These following tips have helped me achieve my dream body and here’s hoping that they will help you too!

    Tip Number 1: ALWAYS look at the calories!

    When you go grocery shopping or when you pick up something to eat, always look at the calories per serving. Keep track of the calories intake per day. If the calorie intake exceeds those burned, you’ll get excess fat (old story, I know). It’s a good rule of thumb that you should have 1500 to 2000 calories per day. Some people reduce their calorie intake to 900 and trust me, I have tried that way before and it never lasted over a week for me. I got fatigue and even depression while I was on that calories-strip-down diet. Don’t do that if you want to go healthy. But, keeping track of your calories intake is a good way to adjust your diet and lose weight. Take notice of it, but don’t be obsessed with it.

    Tip No.2: A bowl of vegetables salad and a glass of water before each meal.

    Aside from some sugary and starchy vegetables such as potato, you can put any raw vegies into a bowl, add a low calorie dressing and make it your appetizer before each meal. You got it right. Your salad doesn’t have any crackers or delicious dressings. It is just a simple one. Drink plenty of water before each meal and doing so will make you feel more satisfied and full after meal.

    Tip Number 3: Eat slowly and eat less!

    Let’s put it this way. When you eat fast, your stomach is so busy chewing on the food that it doesn’t get time to send signals to the brain to tell you that you’re actually very full! So, eat slowly, give your stomach to process and let yourself know that you’ve had enough. And, reduce your normal amount of meal little by little. See if you can handle it. But for me, after that bowl of salads and water, I can just only eat half of my normal meal and of course, it means weight loss.

    Tip No.4: Have frequent small meals.

    If you’re thinking about skipping breakfast or refusing dinner, DON’T. It is bad for your body mechanism and your stomach. Eat less, eat frequently, have more salads and drink more water. Then you’ll be fine.

    5th Tip: Apples and Oranges for your dessert.

    Obviously, cheese cakes or cookies for your after-dinner dessert is out of question. What I want to remind you is that bananas are also not perfect choices because they contain more calories. You should have fruits with lots of vitamin C and nutritious fruits like apples or oranges or clementine alike. Vitamin C helps you burn fat faster during normal activities and so, it’s another good tool for healthy weight loss.

    Tip No.6: It’s a No for Soda.

    Now, it’s a good time to drop your habit of having sodas when you watch TV or work if you have one. Sodas are bad for your teeth and overall health and worse, it is a big factor in gaining weight. So, now it’s time to give up on sodas and let water take its place. FYI, 5 liters of water per day can make you lose weight very, very fast and it’s all about being healthy!

    7th Tip: No snacks for a quick bite.

    It’s really comfy to sit on the couch, watch your favorite TV show and have your hand inside that potato chips bowl. Mars bars, snickers, chocolate, cookies, you name it, they are all troublemakers for your weight loss campaign! The best thing to do while watching TV? Stand up once in a while, stretch your arms and legs, you can even do some light exercise to help you lose weight faster!

    Tip Number 8: WALK WALK WALK more!

    You shouldn’t just use your car to get you everywhere: work, school, park, supermarket or even your own backyard! If you’re going somewhere that’s within your walking distance, you should just walk. You car needs a rest. An extra 20 minutes of walk can get you so far in your weight loss campaign. Walking burns your calories fast and even burn those excess fat in your body. It is okay that you can’t go to the gym to train seriously everyday. Just make sure that you are incorporating more walking in your daily routine.

    Tip No.9: No Fast Food please.

    It is really tempting to just dine out to save the troubles of preparing a healthy meal at home. But, what you should know is that fast food welcomes those extra pounds really fast. When you really have to eat outside, make sure you pick up right things from the menu that contain low calorie content. Also, swap your usual coke for lemon spiced water. It’s going to save you many unnecessary calories and help you lose weight.

    10th Tip: Consistency!

    Last tip but not least. It is perhaps the ultimate key for a successful weight loss campaign. It can sometimes occur to you that go starving for a couple of days can give a big boost for your weight loss process. What a big mistake. Several times that I did impulsively, they always turned out bad. After I went starving for a couple of days, I found out I couldn’t hold it together anymore so I ended up SWALLOWING food only to gain those stubborn pounds again. It was a vicious cycle I couldn’t get through. So, do not even think about going starved. Approach your diet plan consistently. Consistency is the answer to a permanent weight loss.
